Alex Rimmer
Managing Director
After working as Senior Account Manager for 12 years at HP, Alex decided to team up with colleague Nick Lloyd to start Sirona Solutions. Alex’s goal was to offer smaller businesses an outsourced IT helpdesk without the red tape and inflexibility of other companies. Alex’s business interests include: Implementing new technologies to clients, networking, business planning and the general joy of running a business. Outside work he enjoys football, boxing and swinging his bats on the golf course.
Nick Lloyd
Technical Director
Nick was born to be technical—his grandfather worked on the earliest computers used in the Second World War. He got his first computer in 1988 and was on the Internet by 1992. It was no surprise that Nick pursued a career in IT and has worked with numerous Blue Chip companies including: IBM, ICL, HP, Compaq and GE Capital. Nick is Microsoft Certified and recently scored 100% in the new SBS 2008 examination.
Jeremy Sherlock
Technical Support
Jeremy has a background in both hardware and software having worked for a range of companies over the last 19 years from large blue chip manufacturers such as Digital Equipment (DEC) and HP to small privately owned businesses developing bespoke IT solutions. An experienced MCSE with Cisco networking experience Jeremy has worked more recently to develop internal corporate networks across multiple sites to ensure that businesses have the tools required to operate in today's fast moving enterprises; including PCI Compliance, Corporate IT Governance and Best Practice.
Kevin Varley
Technical Support
Kevin brings over a decade of IT experience to his work at Sirona Solutions, where he's known both for his technical expertise and his positive team attitude. He earned his familiarity with industry standard platforms and operating systems as an engineer and specialist for Hitachi Data Systems and during his time supporting major corporations including HP and HSBC. In addition to his ongoing education in the latest technologies and procedures, Kevin holds certificates from South East Derbyshire College and Derby Tertiary College Wilmorton.
Damian Richardson
Technical Support
Damian has been in the IT industry since leaving the Royal Navy in 1996. He has a wide variety of hardware and software experience having worked for ICL and HP in this time. Since 2003 Damian has been an onsite IT administrator at the main datacentre for a major bluechip company and has vast experience in hardware and software migrations, upgrades, installation and support.
